Our History

1986

Founded as Valve Lock Co Est

Ultravalve was founded in 1986 as Valve Lock Co Est by Bill Brach and Richard Pittman, built on a clear mission: to deliver reliable valve solutions supported by genuine engineering expertise. From the outset, the company focused on combining strong technical knowledge with responsive customer service, quickly establishing a reputation for dependability across the UK. These early foundations shaped the values that continue to define Ultravalve today.

1989

Rebrand to Ultravalve & Move to Cradley Heath

In 1989, Valve Lock Co rebranded as Ultravalve, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s development. Alongside the new name, the business relocated to premises in Cradley Heath, providing the space and infrastructure needed to support growth. The rebrand reflected a broader product offering and a stronger market presence, positioning Ultravalve as a dedicated valve specialist serving industrial and commercial customers nationwide.

2005

A New Chapter of Leadership

In 2005, Richard Pittman retired, with Bill Brach becoming sole owner of Ultravalve. Under Bill’s leadership, the company strengthened its position in the market and deepened relationships with key European manufacturing partners, including Mondeo and Vexve. These partnerships expanded Ultravalve’s technical capabilities and product portfolio, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted supplier of high-quality valve solutions.

2016

Acquisition by Bonomi (UK) Ltd

Having acted as a distributor for Bonomi (UK) Ltd for over twenty-five years, Ultravalve was acquired by Bonomi in 2016. This strategic move further strengthened the business, providing additional resources, technical support and access to a broader product range. The acquisition enabled Ultravalve to expand beyond its Midlands roots, enhancing its ability to offer a truly nationwide service while retaining its specialist focus and customer-first approach.

2025

A New Home and a New Identity

2025 marked a transformative year for Ultravalve. The company relocated to a larger, purpose-built facility at Westminster Industrial Estate, Dudley. This significant investment in infrastructure, stockholding and personnel positioned the business for its next phase of growth enabling increased stock availability and same-day dispatch across an even broader product range.

Alongside the move, Ultravalve unveiled a modern new logo — a symbol of innovation, progress and continued commitment to excellence.

2026

Leadership Transition

In 2026, Bill Brach retired after four decades of leadership, leaving behind a strong and respected business built on integrity and technical excellence.

Jason Hill officially took the reins, bringing with him over 37 years of industry experience at Bonomi UK Ltd. Having played a key role in major milestones — including the acquisitions of Prolasa in 2000 and Ultravalve in 2016 — Jason combines deep commercial insight with extensive sector knowledge.
