The Y pattern flanged strainer is designed to protect pumps, valves and other downstream equipment by removing impurities such as dirt, rust and debris from clear liquid systems. It is fitted with a drain cock to allow quick and efficient cleaning, reducing maintenance time and improving system reliability.
The body and cap are manufactured from cast iron with internal and external epoxy coating for DN 40 to 50, and from ductile iron with epoxy coating for DN 65 to 400, ensuring strong corrosion resistance and long service life. The strainer element is made from stainless steel for durability and effective filtration performance. Fibre seals are used to ensure reliable tightness, while fixing components such as pins, screws and bolts are also stainless steel for added strength and resistance to corrosion.
Filtration levels vary depending on size, ranging from 500 microns for DN 40/50, 800 microns for DN 65, 1250 microns for DN 80 to 200 and 1600 microns for DN 250 to 400, providing appropriate protection across a wide range of applications. The strainer operates at temperatures from -10°C to 80°C, with higher temperatures available on request. It is designed for installation with flanged PN-rated connections as specified in the sizing table and is suitable for use with clear liquids in water distribution and industrial systems.
