The Y222P Y pattern strainer is designed to protect pumps, valves and other system components from impurities such as dirt, rust, seal fragments and foreign bodies in pipework systems carrying clear liquids. It features an integrated brass drain cock, 1/4" on standard sizes and 1/8" on DN 1/2, allowing quick and efficient cleaning without dismantling the system.
The strainer provides a filtration level of 500 microns for most sizes, with a finer 300 micron filtration on DN 1/2, ensuring effective debris removal while maintaining good flow characteristics. It is suitable for operating temperatures from -10°C to 110°C and for a permissible operating pressure of up to 25 bar in water applications.
Constructed with a robust brass body and brass cap, the Y222P also includes a stainless steel strainer element for durability and corrosion resistance. Fibre seals are used to ensure reliable tightness, while the drain cock is made from brass for long-term serviceability. The valve is supplied with female BSP threaded connections at both ends for easy installation into standard pipework systems. Compact and practical in design, the Y222P offers an efficient solution for system protection and simplified maintenance.
