The Y222 Y pattern strainer is designed to protect pumps, valves and pressure reducing valves from impurities within pipework systems, including dirt, rust, seal fragments and other foreign bodies. It is suitable for use with clear liquids and helps maintain system efficiency while reducing wear on downstream equipment.
The strainer provides filtration down to 500 microns, making it effective for capturing common debris found in water and liquid distribution systems. It is suitable for operating temperatures from -10°C to 110°C and for permissible operating pressures as specified by the relevant size ratings.
Constructed with a durable brass body and brass cap, the Y222 also features a stainless steel strainer element for long-lasting corrosion resistance. Fibre seals are used to ensure reliable tightness, while the closing system is manufactured from Nylon 66 for dependable operation. The valve is supplied with female BSP threaded connections at both ends, allowing straightforward installation into a wide range of pipework systems. Compact and robust in design, the Y222 strainer is a practical solution for protecting system components and improving long-term reliability.
