Series P172 Stainless Steel 2 Way Proportional Pneumatic Angle Seat Valve Ultravalve supplies the Series P172 2 way proportional pneumatically operated angle seat valve for controlled flow regulation in demanding industrial systems. Constructed with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and PTFE seal, the Series P172 is designed for compatible industrial automation, filling machine, steam, water, hot water, heating, food fluid and general process applications. Operation is controlled by pneumatic pilot pressure, subject to correct specification, media compatibility, pressure conditions and installation. Pneumatic Actuation Performance: Uses an orientable Ø70 pneumatic actuator with pilot pressure from 0 to 10 bar, enabling operation from 0 bar minimum differential pressure. Defined Pressure & Flow: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 40 bar. Maximum differential operating pressure is 16 bar for G1/2 and 10 bar for G3/4 and G1. Orifice sizes are 15 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm, with Kv values listed as 70, 130 and 150 m³/h. Stainless Steel & Seal Construction: Manufactured with an AISI 316 stainless steel body, PTFE seal and maintenance free PTFE/FKM packing gland, supporting fluid temperatures from -40°C to +180°C and maximum fluid viscosity of 600 cSt. Connection & Mounting Guidance: Features GAS ISO 228/1 or NPT ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 threaded connections from 1/2” to 1”. Operational Features: Includes high flow angle seat configuration, anti water hammer feature with fluid entry below the seat, optical position indicator, self adjusting internal seal, back pressure resistance capability and maintenance-free sealing pack. The pilot actuator is suitable for dry or lubricated air, gases and neutral fluids, with pilot fluid temperature up to +60°C.
