Series A277 ATEX Stainless Steel Normally Closed Servo-Assisted Solenoid Valves Ultravalve supplies the Series A277 2 way normally closed servo-assisted diaphragm solenoid valve for automated on/off flow control in demanding industrial fluid systems. Manufactured with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and cover and fitted with an ATEX certified explosion-proof coil, the A277 supports hazardous area installations where corrosion resistance and reliable diaphragm-assisted operation are required. Stainless Steel Servo-Assisted Control for Hazardous-Area Applications Stocked in the UK, subject to configuration and current availability, the A277 range supports maintenance, replacement and system upgrade requirements for hazardous area pipeline systems. These stainless steel valves are designed for general fluid handling and require a minimum differential pressure of 0.15 bar for correct operation. Full Hazardous Area Certification: Features an ATEX certified explosion-proof coil for gas and dust hazardous areas: ATEX II 2GD Ex d IIC T6/T5/T4 Gb and Ex tb IIIC T80°C/T95°C/T130°C Db IP66. Corrosion Resistant Construction: Manufactured with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and cover, supporting use in suitable demanding industrial environments where corrosion resistance is required. Servo-Assisted Operation: The diaphragm design supports higher flow capacity than direct-acting alternatives, with a required minimum differential pressure of 0.15 bar. Defined Pressure Handling: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 25 bar, with maximum differential operating pressure dependent on port size, ranging from 15 bar down to 10 bar. For steam applications, the maximum allowable pressure is PS 2.5 bar gauge. Seal Options: Seal options are shown for NBR, EPDM and FPM, with final selection dependent on valve code, media and temperature compatibility. Continuous Electrical Duty: Rated for ED100% continuous service, supporting continuous coil energisation in suitable industrial applications. Slow-Closing Option: Available with slow-closing diaphragm versions to help reduce water hammer in suitable pipeline systems. Flexible Integration: Available in 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" port sizes, with NPT / ISO 228 connection options as shown in the product data sheet. Electrical Connection: Supplied with a 1/2" NPT electrical connection. Mounting Guidance: Preferred mounting position is with the coil vertically above the valve body. With over 30 years’ experience and an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, Ultravalve provides dependable valve solutions for UK industry.
