Series A178 ATEX AISI 316 Zero Differential Solenoid Valves Ultravalve supplies the Series A178 2 way normally closed assisted-lift diaphragm solenoid valve for automated on/off flow isolation in low pressure and zero-differential applications. Manufactured with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and fitted with an ATEX certified explosion-proof coil, the A178 is designed for hazardous area installations where corrosion resistance and reliable operation from 0 bar differential pressure are required. Zero Differential Stainless Steel Flow Isolation Held in our UK warehouse, subject to configuration and current availability, the A178 range supports maintenance teams and system designers working with gravity-fed, low pressure or zero-differential fluid systems. The assisted-lift diaphragm design enables actuation from 0 bar minimum differential pressure, while the valve supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 16 bar. Zero Differential Functionality: The assisted-lift diaphragm mechanism enables reliable actuation from 0 bar differential pressure, making the valve suitable for low pressure systems where pressure assistance cannot be relied upon. Full Hazardous Area Certification: Features an ATEX certified explosion-proof coil for gas and dust hazardous areas: ATEX II 2GD Ex d IIC T6/T5/T4 Gb and Ex tb IIIC T80°C/T95°C/T130°C Db IP66. Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and FPM seal for use with suitable compatible media. Defined Pressure Handling: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 16 bar, with maximum differential operating pressure of 6 bar for G3/8, G1/2 and G3/4 versions and 3 bar for G1. Continuous Electrical Service: Rated for ED100% continuous service, supporting continuous coil energisation in demanding industrial applications. Flexible Installation: Available with G3/8, G1/2, G3/4 and G1 ISO 228 threaded connections. Electrical Connection: Supplied with a 1/2" NPT electrical connection, with M20x1.5 available on request. Coil Housing Option: Supplied with a standard red-coloured alloy A6 coil housing, with AISI 316 stainless steel X6 coil housing available on request. Mounting Requirement: Designed for installation with the coil mounted vertically above the valve body.
