Series 277 Stainless Steel 2 Way Normally Open Servo-Assisted Solenoid Valve Ultravalve supplies the Series 277 2 way normally open servo-assisted diaphragm solenoid valve for automated on/off flow isolation in compatible pneumatic, air conditioning and industrial systems. Constructed with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and cover, the Series 277 is designed for applications requiring dependable normally open operation with a defined minimum differential pressure. In its standard de-energised state, the valve allows flow and closes when energised, subject to correct specification, media compatibility, pressure conditions and installation. Dependable Normally Open Control for Pneumatic and Industrial Systems Ultravalve’s Midlands based warehouse offers a wide range of Series 277 valves from stock, subject to configuration and current availability. Designed to support maintenance projects, pneumatic systems, air conditioning networks and industrial process control upgrades, these valves help provide fast replacement options for urgent pipework and general flow control requirements. Normally Open Servo-Assisted Performance: The 2 way normally open servo-assisted diaphragm design requires a minimum differential pressure of 0.15 bar to operate effectively. Defined Pressure & Flow: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 25 bar, with maximum differential operating pressure dependent on connection size and orifice. Selected configurations reach up to 15 bar differential pressure. Orifice sizes range from 12 mm to 25 mm, with Kv values from 2.2 to 10.2 m³/h. Connection & Installation Guidance: Features ISO 228 threaded fluid connections from G3/8 to G1, depending on the selected version. The preferred mounting position is with the vertical coil above, as stated in the product data sheet. AISI 316 Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured with an AISI 316 stainless steel body and cover, an AISI 303 armature tube, an AISI 430FR plunger and core, and AISI 302 springs. Seal Options & Media Suitability: Seal materials are listed as NBR, FPM and EPDM, with suitability dependent on valve code, media, pressure, temperature and application compatibility. Maximum fluid viscosity is limited to 25 cSt. Listed fluid temperature ranges are -10°C to +90°C for NBR and -10°C to +140°C for EPDM and FPM. Electrical Duty & Protection: Uses Series 3 coils with Class F insulation, voltage tolerance of AC +15% / -10% and DC ±10%, and continuous service ED100%. Protection is IP65 with the connector fitted correctly and IP00 without connector, using DIN 46244 electrical connection with PG9 connector. Ambient temperature is listed from -10°C to +80°C according to the coil. Steam Application Constraint: The maximum allowable pressure for steam applications is strictly limited to PS 2.5 bar gauge. Configuration Options: Available options include food approval seal material, slow closing diaphragm version, version for use with oxygen, silver shading ring, Series 7 explosion proof coil according to ATEX - EExmII, Class H insulation for Series 2, cable attached versions, special coil voltages, special coil powers and certified coils, subject to correct specification. With over 30 years’ experience and an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, Ultravalve provides dependable valve solutions for UK industry.
