Series 123 Brass 2 Way Normally Closed Servo-Assisted Piston Solenoid Valve Ultravalve supplies the Series 123 2 way normally closed solenoid valve, featuring a servo-assisted piston design for high pressure air and water applications. Constructed with a brass body and PTFE/FPM sealing arrangement, the Series 123 is designed for compatible compressor, carwash, pneumatic and general industrial systems requiring dependable normally closed flow isolation under high pressure conditions. In its standard de-energised state, the valve prevents flow and opens when energised, subject to correct specification, media compatibility, pressure conditions and installation. Servo-Assisted Piston Operation: The 2 way normally closed servo-assisted piston design requires a minimum differential pressure of 0.7 bar to operate effectively. High Pressure Performance: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 200 bar, with maximum differential operating pressure dependent on coil configuration. Series 2 configurations are listed up to 100 bar AC and 80 bar DC, while Series 5 configurations reach up to 150 bar AC or DC. Connection & Flow Details: Features a G3/8 ISO 228 threaded fluid connection, with a 7 mm orifice and Kv value of 14 m³/h. Brass & Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured with a brass body and cover, an AISI 303 armature tube and piston, an AISI 430FR plunger and core, and AISI 302 springs. Seal & Media Suitability: Uses a main PTFE seal with other FPM seals, with suitability dependent on valve code, media, pressure, temperature and application compatibility. Maximum fluid viscosity is limited to 12 cSt. Temperature & Installation Guidance: The listed fluid temperature range is -10°C to +95°C, with ambient temperature from -10°C to +80°C according to the coil. The preferred mounting position is with the vertical coil above, as stated in the product data sheet. Electrical Protection & Coil Options: Uses Series 2 or Series 5 coils with DIN 43650A PG9 connector options. Protection is IP65 with the connector fitted correctly and IP00 without connector. Insulation class is Series 2 = Class F and Series 5 = Class H, with Class H insulation for Series 2 available as an option. Configuration Options: Available options include electroless nickel plating, cable attached versions, special coil voltages, special coil powers and certified coils, subject to correct specification. Maximum allowable leakage is listed as <0.2 Nl/h.
