Series 119W Brass 2 Way Normally Closed Servo-Assisted Piston Solenoid Valve Ultravalve supplies the Series 119W 2 way normally closed solenoid valve, featuring a servo-assisted piston design specifically intended for compatible steam applications. Constructed with a brass body and PTFE sealing arrangement, the Series 119W is designed for steam systems, industrial washing and compatible water handling duties requiring dependable normally closed flow isolation. In its standard de-energised state, the valve prevents flow and opens when energised, subject to correct specification, media compatibility, pressure conditions and installation. Servo-Assisted Piston Operation: The 2 way normally closed servo-assisted piston design requires a minimum differential pressure of 2.5 bar to operate effectively. Defined Pressure & Flow: Supports a maximum differential operating pressure of 10 bar across the listed AC and DC configurations. Both versions use a 12 mm orifice, with Kv values of 2 m³/h for G3/8 and 2.2 m³/h for G1/2. Connection & Installation Guidance: Features ISO 228 threaded fluid connections in G3/8 and G1/2. The preferred mounting position is with the vertical coil above, as stated in the product data sheet. High Temperature Brass & Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured with a brass body and cover, an AISI 303 armature tube and piston, an AISI 430FR plunger and core, and AISI 302 springs. PTFE Steam Seal Arrangement: Equipped with a reinforced PTFE piston seal and PTFE seal material, with a listed fluid temperature range from -10°C to +180°C. Suitability remains dependent on valve code, media, pressure and application compatibility. Electrical Duty & Protection: Uses Series 2 coils with Class H insulation only, voltage tolerance of AC +15% / -10% and DC ±10%, and continuous service ED100%. Protection is IP65 with the connector fitted correctly and IP00 without connector, using a DIN 43650A electrical connection with PG9 connector. Configuration Options: Available options include electroless nickel plating, cable attached versions, special coil voltages, special coil powers and certified coils, subject to correct specification.
