Series 119 2/2 NC servo-assisted solenoid valve
Series 119 Brass 2 Way Normally Closed Servo-Assisted Piston Solenoid Valve Ultravalve supplies the Series 119 2 way normally closed solenoid valve, featuring a servo-assisted piston design for automated on/off flow isolation in compatible steam, water and industrial washing applications. Constructed with a brass body and cover, the Series 119 is designed for demanding process control duties requiring normally closed operation and a defined minimum differential pressure. In its standard de-energised state, the valve prevents flow and opens when energised, subject to correct specification, media compatibility, pressure limits and installation. Servo-Assisted Piston Control for Steam, Water and Industrial Washing Ultravalve’s Midlands based warehouse offers a wide range of Series 119 valves from stock, subject to configuration and current availability. Designed to support maintenance projects, steam services, water handling, industrial washing equipment and general process control upgrades, these valves help provide fast replacement options for urgent pipework requirements across UK industry. Servo-Assisted Piston Operation: The 2 way normally closed servo-assisted piston design requires a minimum differential pressure to operate. The PDF lists 1 bar minimum differential pressure generally, with the G1/4 version requiring 1.5 bar. Defined Pressure & Flow: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 60 bar, with maximum differential operating pressure dependent on connection size, orifice and coil configuration. Selected models reach up to 50 bar differential pressure. Orifice sizes include 5.2 mm and 12 mm, with Kv values from 0.47 to 2.2 m³/h. Connection & Installation Guidance: Features ISO 228 threaded fluid connections in G1/4, G3/8 and G1/2, depending on the selected version. The preferred mounting position is with the vertical coil above, as stated in the product data sheet. Robust Brass & Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured with a brass body and cover, an AISI 303 armature tube and piston, an AISI 430FR plunger and core, and AISI 302 springs. PTFE/FPM Seal Arrangement: Equipped with a reinforced PTFE piston seal, main PTFE seal and other FPM seals. The listed fluid temperature range is -10°C to +140°C, with suitability dependent on valve code, media, pressure and application compatibility. Maximum fluid viscosity is limited to 25 cSt. Electrical Duty & Protection: Uses Series 2 or Series 5 coils rated for continuous service ED100%, with DIN 43650A PG9 connector options. Protection is IP65 with the connector fitted correctly and IP00 without connector. Insulation class is Series 2 = Class F and Series 5 = Class H, with ambient temperature listed from -10°C to +80°C according to the coil. Steam Application Constraint: The maximum allowable pressure for steam applications is strictly limited to PS 2.5 bar gauge, even though the general maximum allowable pressure is PS 60 bar. Configuration Options: Available options include electroless nickel plating, Class H insulation for Series 2, cable attached versions, special coil voltages, special coil powers and certified coils, subject to correct specification. With over 30 years’ experience and an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, Ultravalve provides dependable valve solutions for UK industry.
