Series 108 Brass 2 Way Normally Closed Assisted-Lift Solenoid Valve Ultravalve supplies the Series 108 2 way normally closed assisted-lift diaphragm solenoid valve for automated on/off flow isolation in thermoregulation and industrial systems. Constructed with a brass body and FPM seals, the Series 108 is designed for compatible thermoregulation, pneumatic, industrial automation, air and water applications requiring assisted-lift operation from 0 bar differential pressure. In its de-energised state, the valve prevents flow and opens when energised, subject to correct specification, media compatibility and installation. Assisted-Lift Performance: The 2 way normally closed assisted-lift diaphragm design enables electrically actuated flow isolation from 0 bar differential pressure, although a differential pressure of at least 0.15 bar is required for complete diaphragm opening. Defined Pressure & Flow: Supports a maximum allowable pressure of PS 25 bar, with maximum differential operating pressure dependent on valve size and coil configuration. Selected AC configurations reach up to 12 bar. Orifice sizes include 12 mm, 18 mm and 25 mm, with Kv values from 2 to 8.5 m³/h. Connection & Installation Guidance: Features ISO 228 threaded fluid connections from G3/8 to G1, depending on the selected version. The preferred mounting position is with the vertical coil above, as stated in the product data sheet. Brass Construction: Manufactured with a brass body and cover, an AISI 303 armature tube, an AISI 430FR plunger and core, and AISI 302 springs. FPM Seal & Fluid Suitability: Equipped with FPM seals, with suitability dependent on valve code, media, pressure, temperature and application compatibility. Maximum fluid viscosity is limited to 25 cSt. Electrical Protection & Insulation: Uses Series 2 or Series 5 coils with DIN 43650A PG9 connector options. Protection is IP65 with the connector fitted correctly and IP00 without connector. Insulation class is Series 2 = Class F and Series 5 = Class H, with ambient temperature listed from -10°C to +80°C according to the coil. Steam & Configuration Options: The maximum allowable pressure for steam applications is strictly limited to PS 2.5 bar gauge. Available options include electroless nickel plating, Class H insulation, cable attached versions, special coil voltages, special coil powers and certified coils, subject to correct specification.
