The GEMÜ 490 Edessa lined bare shaft butterfly valve provides bubble tight flow isolation for aggressive chemical applications. The GEMÜ 490 accommodates nominal sizes from DN 40 to DN 1200, regulates operating pressures up to 10 bar, and withstands media temperatures ranging from -20°C to 200°C. Key Performance Capabilities: Aggressive Media Resistance: The GEMÜ 490 uses a TFM (PTFE)/PFA liner and one piece disc/shaft, reducing permeability to prevent corrosive gas or liquid damage and lower long term component replacement costs. Reduced Actuation Wear: The GEMÜ 490 TFM seal provides cold flow properties comparable to PTFE with 25% glass fibres, preventing permanent deformation under load to ensure consistent actuation torque and extend the mechanical lifespan of automated systems.
